Barbell Club focuses on the two competitive lifts in the sport of weightlifting: the snatch and the clean and jerk. Hosted in a fun learning environment, class participants will learn proper technique, best practices and form for these lifts, as well as perform various exercises to build strength and power.
The class typically begins with a warm-up, including dynamic stretching and mobility exercises to prepare the body for the lifts. Participants will then move on to skill work, practicing the snatch and clean and jerk with light to moderate weights. The class may also include accessory exercises to target specific muscle groups and improve overall fitness and is suitable for people of all levels of fitness, from beginners to experienced weightlifters.
